Floating dock is a vessel of the technical navy which serves for lifting from the water of the afloated vessel its reparing (or transportation) and launching. It consists of pontoon which is divided by longitudinal and transverse bulkheads on the regional compartments . The ballast pumps are situated in the pontoon. The pontoon is dipping (surfacing from the water) to these compartments during the reception (pumping out ) outside water . |
For providing 7 pontoon stability in the underwater position legthwise of the pontoon long side is necessary to have a water displacement side walls with the hight allows to stay the upper part of the wall above the water during the pontoon dipping. |
