Floating crane is a vessel of technical navy presenting a lifting crane which is placed on the pontoon. It serves for loading-unloading works, ships lifting, hydrotechnical and other works. The floating cranes can be sea going and river going; self-propelled (speed - 5-8 knots) and non-self-propelled. The lifting devices, under its construction, are devided on full rotary (the rotation around the axis for 360) and non rotary (masting, trestling), under the way of changing of boom angle and boom reach with hard or flexible securing. |
The lifting capacity of full rotary universal floating cranes, which are exploited at the mass loading-unloading works, achieves 500-600t, the useful boom reach is 25-30m, the lifting hight of the main hook (from the water level) is up to 60m. The full rotary cranes serves for assembing of permanent foundations at the sea trade of oil and gas, and the non-rotary heavy cranes take place in works of special purposes and their lifting capacity achieves 2500-3000t, the boom reach achieves 30-35m and the hight of the main hook lifting achieves 100-110m. The screw propellers, vane propellers, swinging streering propellers are used as a propellers at the self-propelled floating cranes. |
